I What I learnt from Mahatma Gandhi Park at Manikonda
Mahatma Gandhi Park showed me that small actions like planting a sapling or preserving silence can create lasting ripples in an ecosystem. It’s where I understood that nature thrives best when humans step back with care.

Vijay Bhasker Yetapu, founder of VChangeU, is a passionate advocate for healthy living and longevity through creative, community-driven practices. With over 25 years in IT consulting and corporate leadership, and over a decade in non-profit leadership, he combines critical thinking with heartfelt action to inspire change.

In 2014, a series of walks around Mahatma Gandhi Park in Manikonda became a personal turning point. Surrounded by birdsongs, butterflies, and fresh air, he experienced a profound transformation in his mind and body. The park’s natural beauty and peace sparked ideas, restored focus, and ignited a lifelong journey toward wellness.

Motivated to share these benefits, he launched Walk4Health, a community initiative in August 2018 that encourages people of all ages to take up walking as a simple, powerful step toward better health. His experiences at MG Park also led him to start blogging about nature, wellness, and the healing power of mindful walking in parks across the city and countries.

Today, through VChangeU and Walk4Health, he continues to build communities that walk together, think better, live longer and reconnect with the nature that surrounds and sustains us all.
